I first started styling hair, as a senior in high school, when I was just sixteen at Quality Beauty College in Olympia, WA. While I was in school I interned at Salon Bellezza under the guidance of the owner, Susan. After graduating from Quality Beauty College Susan offered me a position and a chair at her salon. After working with her for a year I felt the desire to go back to school so I moved to Seattle to study graphic design. It was a rough road trying to find a salon where I could see a successful future but, eventually I stumbled across Salon Voda and Spa.

How long have you been in business?
I have been doing hair for over 6 years.
What is your primary product or service?
We color with Pravana and Redken. Our haircare products include Pravana, Redken, Hemp, and Cavier.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I was a junior in high school when I first got interested in cosmetology. I got the perfect opportunity to go Quality Beauty School in Olympia because I only had to take three classes in order to graduate. I spent most of my senior year in cosmetology school and interning at other salons. I interned and then got hired at Salon Belezza in Olympia. I eventually left Olympia to live in Seattle where I found Salon Voda where I have been working for 7 months now.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
I customize everything I do to suit not only the clients needs but their style. I make sure that everything I do makes the client look and feel better than they did when they enter the salon. I take an honest approach to what I do to ensure that your hairstyle suits you.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Just one in Chandler's Cove in South Lake Union
