Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Western Washington & Alaska supports seriously ill children and they families. Our programs include the Seattle Ronald McDonald House, a grants program benefiting children's health-related nonprofits in Western Washington and Alaska, and a van service for families staying in Anchorage while their children receive medical care.
The Seattle Ronald McDonald House serves as a "home away from home" for families with children undergoing treatment for serious illness at Seattle Children's Hospital. We serve approximately 1,200 families each year from Washington, Alaska, Montana, Idaho and beyond. At the House they find respite, a home-like environment and support from staff and other families. Families are asked to pay $20 a night but most cannot afford that much. However, no one is ever turned away due to an inability to pay.
